Important safety information
PT-141 Injection is a compounded prescription medication containing bremelanotide. It is compounded, dispensed, and shipped by a state-licensed pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Prescription medication is available only if prescribed after an online consultation with a licensed healthcare provider. Do not use PT-141 if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, age 18 or younger, allergic to bremelanotide, or have uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart or cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, or liver disease. Tell your provider about all health conditions and medications. Common side effects include nausea, flushing, headache, and warmth or redness at the injection site. Seek emergency care for hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the tongue or throat, severe reactions, or overdose. Use only as directed by your provider and do not use more than eight times per month. The vial is supplied as lyophilized powder and must be reconstituted according to pharmacy instructions. Store at room temperature before reconstitution; refrigerate after mixing and discard 28 days after reconstitution or by the pharmacy-labeled beyond-use date, whichever comes first.
