Important safety information
FDA-approved generic prescription cyanocobalamin. Do not use with cobalt/cyanocobalamin hypersensitivity or Leber hereditary optic neuropathy. Disclose severe megaloblastic anemia, low potassium, kidney disease, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and all medicines. Chloramphenicol can impair response. Rare anaphylaxis and death have been reported. Intensive treatment of severe anemia can cause dangerous hypokalemia and requires monitoring. Contains benzyl alcohol and trace aluminum; not for infants. Injection-site reactions, diarrhea, itching, swelling, and temporary urine-color change may occur. IM use only as prescribed. Store at 68–77°F, protect from light, do not freeze, and follow manufacturer expiry/pharmacy puncture guidance.
